Luke Smith joined the University of Tennessee men’s golf team after an accomplished junior career, arriving ranked No. 27 nationally in the class of 2025 by the Rolex AJGA rankings. A proven winner before college, Smith captured the 101st Ontario Junior Boys Championship and posted standout finishes across elite junior circuits, including top-10 showings at the Wyndham Invitational, the Butterfield Bermuda Junior Championship, and the Jones Cup Junior Invitational.
Smith quickly emerged as a steady contributor during his freshman season in 2025–26, collecting three top-25 finishes and helping the Vols capture the team title at the Pauma Valley Collegiate with a final-round 70 (-1). His debut year also included a top-15 showing at the Coach Sykes Individual (-1) and a collegiate-low 68 at the Puerto Rico Classic. Continuing his consistency into his sophomore campaign, Smith has added top-25 finishes at the Cullan Brown Collegiate and Inverness Intercollegiate as a key presence in Tennessee’s lineup.
