Jackson Herrington has cemented himself as one of the premier amateur golfers in the country during his career at Tennessee. A high school state champion and top-three recruit in Tennessee, Herrington broke onto the national stage by finishing as runner-up at the 2025 U.S. Amateur, becoming just the third Vol in program history to do so. That historic run earned him invitations to both the 2026 Masters, where he tied for 36 hole low amateur honors, and the 2026 U.S. Open. He has also collected TGA Men's and Boys' Junior Player of the Year honors and multiple preseason All-America selections.
At Tennessee, Herrington has been a postseason fixture, helping lead the Vols to back-to-back NCAA Championship appearances in 2025 and 2026 while also earning SEC Academic Honor Roll distinction. Across his college campaigns, he has tallied multiple top 10 finishes, highlighted by top-10 runs at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, the Cabo Collegiate, and the Cullan Brown Collegiate. Now in his junior season, Herrington continues to anchor the lineup as a proven leader on collegiate golf’s biggest stages.
