Ben Gregg has grown into a cornerstone for Texas Tech men’s golf across three seasons. After a strong 2023–24 debut highlighted by a runner-up finish at the Papago Individual, he became a lineup regular as a sophomore, posting two top-10 finishes and helping lead the team at the NCAA Urbana Regional. Gregg hit his stride as a junior in 2025–26 with a career-low 71.3 scoring average and 10 rounds in the 60s, while having nearly 89% of his rounds count for the team. His collegiate peak came in March 2026, earning Big 12 Golfer of the Week honors after tying for third at 13-under-par 200 to pace the Red Raiders to a win at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational.
Gregg pairs his high-level play with exceptional academic success as a finance major. An all-state recruit from J.J. Pearce High School and former FCG Callaway World Champion, he has also competed in elite events like the 125th U.S. Amateur. In the classroom, he has steadily collected honors, including Academic All-Big 12 selections, GCAA All-America Scholar recognition, and CSC Academic All-District accolades. Known for his analytical dedication to course strategy and mental technique, Gregg remains a model student-athlete in Lubbock.
